A selection of photographs from a slow winding river leading out into the Oslofjord, where waterfowl of different kinds live out their lives.

Among these have a rare visitor made it's home, the Eurasian Kingfisher. The migratory bird is an uncommon species in the north, with few sightings here and there. In this particular river, have the same pair of kingfishers returned to their burrow for over a decade, heralding spring as they arrive in early april.
